The story stands on its own, so you can enjoy this game even if you start here. Text and sound slowly build a sense of dread, preserving the atmosphere of a classic Japanese ghost story. Settle in and listen closely to the three storytellers in a café filled with the sound of rain. A rainy night in the 1990s—when mobile phones and the internet were not yet part of everyday life. The rain keeps falling. You, a freelance writer for a third-rate occult magazine, sit down with three people in an old-fashioned café to interview them about firsthand ghost stories sent in by readers. One is a timid young man who lived in fear of sounds beneath the floorboards of an old single-story house, rented for 15,000 yen a month. One is a soccer coach who encountered “something” at an old junior high school on a night of torrential rain.
