A man with obsessive-compulsive disorder sees a rope bridge and is seized by a “thought”: I will jump from this bridge. He crosses to prove it false. On the other side waits a new “thought”—that stone statue will kill me—and a statue that really moves. A 30–60 minute Japanese escape horror.

A first-person Japanese escape horror that runs 30–60 minutes. ■ Story “Did I turn off the gas?” “Did I lock the door?”—the worry everyone has felt at least once has spiraled out of control for him, until he is seized by a “thought”: if he does not visit the shrine he just glimpsed, he will be cursed. He knows it is absurd, yet he cannot defy the “thought,” and finds himself at the foot of the mountain. Waiting for him there are one more “thought”—the village's stone statue is coming to kill me—and a statue that really begins to move. ■ You are followed The stone statue in the village never moves while you are watching it. The distance closes only while you look away. You can outrun it. But running means facing forward. If it reaches you, you die. ■ It is not a game about escaping, though There are no hiding places to find and no stamina to manage. What you do is look, check, turn back, touch . ■ A horror game about compulsive checking It is built on the clinical picture of obsessive-compulsive disorder — the state where no amount of checking makes the feeling settle.
