One More Adventure is a hexcrawl roguelike inspired by Nethack and Castle of the Winds. It is part of the Old School Renaissance (OSR), and has heavy influences from TTRPGs from the 1970s and 1980s. Each world map and dungeon is new, allowing for a high amount of replayability.

One More Adventure was inspired by my own time playing tabletop RPGs, Nethack, and a perhaps little-known game from the early '90s, Castle of the Winds. I would describe this game as a love letter to the Hexcrawl genre while my wife would describe this game as "The thing I spend all my time on instead of going to therapy." Each world is procedurally generated to give a landscape that "makes sense" to adventure through. You can set the size of the world and the technology level within so you can adventure with different kinds of equipment, from the Bronze Age to the Early Modern Age. There are three races you can choose from: Human, Dwarf, and Elf. There are three classes you can choose from: Warrior, Rogue, and Mage. Dwarves and Elves can multiclass, while Humans can dual-class. One big difference from Nethack and Castle of the Winds is that you can hire a party - both hirelings and named NPCs to help you fight in dungeons (which are also procedurally generated) and open world random encounters (which samples from the surrounding area to generate the battle map). Just Updated Consolidated Notes from July - September: As I look back over the patch notes for the last couple months, I feel like it has all blurred together. Trying to winnow out the highlights is a challenge. The big stuff! The XP cap has been raised to 5000XP. New quests added Character Creation has been cleaned up Added premade item kits for character creation Music! The medium stuff! Revamped monster treasure tables so they drop items Added some enchantment types Added cloaks! Combat tweaks to add shield bash and reverseable firearms Slightly modified Very Easy and Easy difficulties to dial in desired difficulty Added a manual to the game! (It still needs some love) Tweaked how area of effect spells / attacks navigate smaller spaces The small stuff!
