Story
You are a Construct: an artificial warrior built around a Core that should not exist. Ahead lies the Forgotten Road, three lost lands and the guardians who keep them. Fall, and you wake at the Crossroads. Rise again, a little stronger. ASCEND: The Forgotten Road is a third-person action roguelike in the spirit of Hades. Its combat is fast, readable, and hard but fair. Every door shows its reward, and every journey is a new build. Three lands, three guardians Cross the overgrown ruins of the Abandoned Kingdom, the bone desert of the God-Corpse and the violet courts of the Hidden Civilization. Each land has seven stages, and a guardian waits at the end of each one. Four weapons, one Core Counter with the sword's riposte, throw and recall the spear, crash in with the gauntlets' Comet Rush, or keep moving with the bow's running shots and Evasive Volley. Two core abilities and an Overload complete your kit. Build your Construct Draw on eight elemental families (Tempest, Ember, Gravity, Echo, Aegis, Verdure, Frost and Radiance) plus weapon relics.
