Story
Did you ever wonder what would happen if you mix chess, a boardgame and a TCG? "Echoes of Calir" is a turn-based 1v1 tactics game played on an 8×8 board. Choose five Units and five Terrains out of over 80 pieces, then place your Base, your Terrains and your Units before the first move. There are no random card draws and no Mana curve during a match. Your deck becomes the battlefield. BASIC CHESS RULES BUT WITH A FANTASY TWIST Every Unit has its own movement pattern and abilities. Move onto an enemy to capture it (chess like), or use an action to change the position. There are no hit chances, damage rolls or health bars: apiece can be captured in a single move., just like in the eternal game: Chess. Win by eliminating all of the opponents pieces or taking their Base. THE GROUND IS YOURS TO SHAPE Terrain is part of your strategy, not just the scenery. Water can turn a Tidewalker into a threat. Mines give Baskan Dwarfs control over dangerous squares. Forests, mountains and spreading fungal growth create routes, obstacles and opportunities that differ with every formation.
