Story
Note: The game is currently available in Japanese only (text, voice, and categories). Kokontozai! Today's Category Is...? Kokontozai Derby is a party game that mixes horse racing with Kokontozai, the classic Japanese game where everyone takes turns naming things that fit a category. Give your racehorse a name that fits the category, then send it out to race. If the category is "sushi toppings," will your runner be Tuna, Salmon, or the connoisseur's pick, Engawa? The Name Makes the Horse Speed, Stamina, Power, Guts, and Wit. Running style (Front Runner, Pace Chaser, Late Surger, or End Closer), distance aptitude, even coat color. Everything is decided by the name you give it, and the same name always makes the same horse. Find a name that fits the category and wins! Live Commentary That Calls Your Horse by Name Races play out automatically as a 3D simulation, with synthesized-voice commentary (in Japanese) that reads the names you chose out loud. Switch between multiple camera angles at any time and see how it ends: a wire-to-wire escape, a charge down the far outside, or a head-to-head duel all the way down the stretch.
