Geoplanetical
Released 28 October 2026 · PC · Indie, Simulation, Early Access

A geopolitical simulation that starts on January 1, 2026, with the world as it stood that day. Govern one of 200+ nations and territories, or lead its opposition: laws, budget, elections, strikes, diplomacy, war. The other governments never wait for you. No scenarios, no end date.
Story
January 1, 2026. Pick a country and take on its economy, debt, population and political institutions, with the war in Ukraine already underway. Try to get a pension reform through parliament, negotiate with striking unions, or run for a seat on the UN Security Council. From there, events follow the simulation and the decisions made by you and the other governments. Geoplanetical is a geopolitical simulation I am building on my own. Play as the government or an opposition party in one of 200+ nations and territories. Other countries manage their budgets, change laws, hold elections, impose sanctions and propose alliances. If your game rules allow it, they can start wars too, including against you. How the simulation works I want the economy, politics and society to affect each other in ways you can follow: A strike takes workers out of businesses and public services. A coal or gas plant needs fuel to produce electricity. Shortages can raise costs, hold back production and reduce tax income. A blockade disrupts seaborne trade. Fighting and occupation affect production, supply and the people living there. More money for hospitals does not solve a shortage of trained staff,...
