Story
About Hauberk Dungeon is an HD remake of the traditional roguelike Hauberk. The original was written by Bob Nystrom — an engineer on Google's Dart language team, previously eight years developing games at Electronic Arts, and author of the much-loved Game Programming Patterns and Crafting Interpreters, both free to read online. Hauberk itself is his classic roguelike, released as open source under the MIT licence. This remake builds on that code: the algorithms and number tuning he refined are kept intact, while the presentation is rebuilt with high-definition graphics, a more modern UI, and far more vivid art — and the grind is replaced with automated exploration. 100 Floors, One Dead End Terrain, rooms and furnishings are generated fresh each floor, so no two descents are alike. And what waits on floor 100 is no elite mob — it is the Nameless Unmaker. 152 Monsters, Each With Its Own Temper Cowardly, fearless, immobile, protective, unique — five behaviour traits mix and match. Some flee the moment they bleed, some never back off, some refuse to budge, some will take a hit meant for their kin. Read their temper and you'll know whether to chase or to route around. 171...
