Thirty days to save a friend Cedar Falls, Ohio. Summer 1997. You are Sam, fifteen, helping clear out your grandmother's house. In the attic you find Kris: an old household robot with a gentle heart and a deadline. In thirty days, he will be sent to the scrap press. You may be the only person willing to speak for him. New skills have a cost A box of floppy disks lets Kris learn to fix, grow and make things. Each disk changes the way he talks and sees the world. Swap them as you solve puzzles together. But if you want to expand the space he has for abilities, you must erase one of his memories. That choice cannot be undone.
