Story
PENNANT is baseball from the owner's chair, not the dugout. A text-based baseball sim with 30 generated franchises and no safety net. You buy one, big market or small, and everything under it is yours: the checkbook, the org chart, the ballpark, the fallout. Your front office handles the day-to-day management. Your general manager works the trades. Your scouts grade the kids. Your CFO slides the payroll budget across the desk. The hard part stays with you: you never see the truth, money is the fail state, and there is no undo. EVERY NUMBER IS AN OPINION You never see a player's true ability, only your scouting department's estimate of it. Hire a sharp scouting staff and the fog thins. Hire confident frauds and you'll pay ace money for a AAA cameo. Busts and steals aren't scripted. They're what happens when your belief meets the truth, whether you found the kid in the draft, got him in a trade, or paid him in free agency.
