Story
The shipyard is open. The fog is closing in. The coffee ran out. Squadron 404 is a retro top-down space shooter where you spend half your time in the garage. Outside, you defend the mothership against wave after wave. Inside, you tinker with your fighter until it's completely broken OP. In the good way. On board: an AI without a homeworld, a commander with a criminal record and an instructor hiding a secret in his desk drawer. Waves until you drop 100 waves, bosses named like tracks off a metal album and enemies just begging to be turned into scrap. Dash, drift, patch the shield wall while the next wave is already rolling in. Go AFK here and you become the scrap. Endless buildcrafting 20+ modules, from cute little drones to a deadly black hole, plus modifiers across multiple rarity tiers. Mount weapons left, center or right and watch your ship change. New ship designs aren't for sale. You earn them with your playstyle. Grind that pays off Levels, skills, prestige and crafting: fuse unused modules into upgrades.
