Story
On the 27th consecutive night of working overtime, you finally return to your empty room and, as usual, switch on your computer. Instinctively, you add a game that catches your eye to your library. It’s your 1000th one. Unlike when you were a teenager, your enthusiasm for games has faded, and there’s no one left to play with. You drift off in your chair, only to awaken in a different world... Here, a mysterious tower has appeared out of nowhere. Robots roam the land, rounding up residents. Strange weather shifts without warning, and a colorful cast of characters awaits. This loss of passion for games is a condition known as V.E.D. Demeowrge, the God of Games, has prepared a special “treatment.” Fight, explore, and collect Buffs to rekindle your long-lost passion, complete the treatment, and return to the real world. Or stay. Embark on an adventure with 7 unique characters, each with their own abilities, playstyles, and personalities. These characters will join you as you unravel the mysteries of the world and fight your way through the game. Gameplay
Game Design and Gameplay Overview Since launch, we’ve received a lot of valuable feedback from players. We’ll draw on it as we continue to improve the game. Some comments have also made us realize that we may not have explained the game’s design and intended playstyle clearly enough, so we’d like to share a few key points: Ved: Recure combines action combat with roguelite buildcrafting. If you’re used to focusing on just one of these, it may take some time to get comfortable using both together. A well-built Buff Chain can greatly increase your damage and even restore health. Against tougher enemies, though, you’ll still need to watch their attacks and find the right moments to defend and strike. Parrying and dodging are essential for dealing with consecutive attacks. Compared with some more demanding action games, their timing windows are relatively forgiving, and you can cancel one into the other to respond flexibly. If you’re struggling with a tough enemy, try Easy Mode! Its red warning cues can help you anticipate incoming attacks. You can also use the Training Grounds to learn enemy attack patterns before taking them on again.
