Horse racing meets Kokontozai, the Japanese party game of naming things in a category! Name your racehorse to fit the category, and the name alone decides its stats. Then watch a 3D race where the commentator calls your horse by name. A quick party game for 1 to 8 players.
Jugabilidad
Note: The game is currently available in Japanese only (text, voice, and categories). Kokontozai! Today's Category Is...? Kokontozai Derby is a party game that mixes horse racing with Kokontozai, the classic Japanese game where everyone takes turns naming things that fit a category. Give your racehorse a name that fits the category, then send it out to race. If the category is "sushi toppings," will your runner be Tuna, Salmon, or the connoisseur's pick, Engawa? The Name Makes the Horse Speed, Stamina, Power, Guts, and Wit. Running style (Front Runner, Pace Chaser, Late Surger, or End Closer), distance aptitude, even coat color. Everything is decided by the name you give it, and the same name always makes the same horse. Find a name that fits the category and wins! Live Commentary That Calls Your Horse by Name Races play out automatically as a 3D simulation, with synthesized-voice commentary (in Japanese) that reads the names you chose out loud. Switch between multiple camera angles at any time and see how it ends: a wire-to-wire escape, a charge down the far outside, or a head-to-head duel all the way down the stretch. Can't wait for the result? Skip ahead to the drama of the final turn. Place Your Bets, Strike It Rich Buy betting tickets from the race card before the off, starting at ¥100 a ticket.
