Story
Antiques were once known in Chinese as gudong (骨董), a term meaning “odds and ends.” In his Thirteen Discourses on Gudong, Dong Qichang describes disparate objects from antiquity brought together as a category of their own, calling them gudong. Another interpretation gives each character a deeper meaning: gu (骨), “bone,” represents the enduring essence of the past—just as bones remain after flesh decays—while dong (董) means “to understand.” In this reading, gudong means understanding the essence left behind by the ancients. In Antique Dealer, you can collect a variety of distinctive antique cards and play strategic card matches. Collect The game holds 600 antique cards from ten Chinese dynasties, from the Xia to the Ming, each with six quality levels. Leave the game running and a new card arrives every half hour, quietly keeping you company. The collection can shrink to a single small card in a corner of your desktop, so it never gets in the way. Every card you collect goes on display in your Antique Codex, sorted by dynasty and quality, so you can browse it any time. Combine Drag a spare card onto another spare card of the same dynasty and quality to combine them. ...
